We understand that crooked or misaligned teeth can be embarrassing for adult patients. Most adults don’t want to straighten their teeth with traditional metal braces. However, our Arnold dental office offers a discreet, comfortable solution to straighten crooked teeth without the need for metal braces.
Invisalign® is a unique bracing system that can effectively straighten crooked teeth with clear, removable aligners. Dr. Finlay can use CAD/CAM software to predict your results as well as create custom designed plastic aligners and retainers.
Dr. Scott Finlay can work with you to determine if Invisalign is right for you. If not, we offer a full range of restorative and cosmetic dentistry services that may be used to improve the appearance of crooked or misaligned teeth.
Is Invisalign Right For Me?
Invisalign can be an ideal for teen and adult patients with mild to moderate alignment issues. Dr. Finlay will thoroughly examine your teeth and determine if Invisalign is right for you. In most cases, Invisalign can be used to address:
- Gapped teeth
- Open bite
- Crowded teeth
How Does Invisalign Work?
If Invisalign is right for you, your dentist will take impressions of the teeth to create custom-made aligners. On average, Invisalign treatment is completed in a shorter amount of time than traditional metal braces. Patients with Invisalign do not have to abide by any dietary oral hygiene restrictions. Patients can remove their aligners to complete their oral hygiene routine and eat.
Typically, patients will need to switch their aligners every two weeks as their teeth shift into proper alignment. Dr. Finlay will provide personalized instructions to ensure your treatment is comfortable and effective. The length of your treatment is dependent on the severity of your orthodontic issues.
